Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the Omen: Tarot app ("App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Omen ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms apply to your use of the App on any Apple device. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms and Apple's Usage Rules.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any part of it
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App for any commercial purpose or for any public display
- Remove any proprietary notices from the App
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems or API
3. Omen Premium — Subscriptions
3.1 Subscription Plans
The App offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions ("Omen Premium") that unlock additional spread types and features:
- Monthly subscription — billed monthly
- Yearly subscription — billed annually (best value)
Current pricing is displayed in the App at the time of purchase and may vary by region.
3.2 Free Trial
If a free trial is offered, it will be clearly indicated before purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited upon purchasing a subscription.
3.3 Billing and Renewal
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
3.4 Cancellation and Refunds
You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time via Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your device. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to Premium features until then. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. We have no ability to issue refunds directly.
3.5 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Apple will notify you of any price change before it takes effect, and you will have the opportunity to cancel before the new price applies.
4. Free Features
Single card and three-card spread readings are available at no charge. We reserve the right to modify which features are free or premium at any time, with reasonable notice.
5. AI-Generated Content
The tarot interpretations delivered by the App are generated by an AI system. They are provided for entertainment and personal reflection purposes only. They do not constitute:
- Professional advice of any kind (medical, psychological, legal, financial, or otherwise)
- Predictions of future events
- A substitute for professional consultation
You acknowledge that tarot readings are a form of personal reflection and entertainment. We make no representations about the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of any AI-generated interpretation.
6. Intellectual Property
All content in the App — including but not limited to the design, graphics, animations, card artwork, AI interpretation engine, and text — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand features.
Your readings and questions remain yours. By using the App, you grant us a limited licence to process your questions through our API for the sole purpose of generating your interpretation.
7. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services including Firebase (Google LLC), Google Mobile Ads (Google LLC), Mistral AI (Mistral AI SAS), and PostHog (PostHog, Inc.). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for the practices of any third-party service providers.
When you request a tarot reading, your question and selected cards are transmitted to our AI interpretation provider solely to generate your interpretation.
The App is available through the Apple App Store. Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your licence to use the App ends immediately. Sections 5, 6, 8, and 9 survive termination.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will provide notice through the App or App Store release notes.
